The first five verses of this sûrah swear by battle horses, which are described as fast, strong, and brave. Even though these horses are not promised Paradise or any heavenly rewards, they obey their masters who care for them. Verses 6-11 talk about unfaithful humans, who are disobedient and ungrateful to their Master. Although Allah created them, provides for them, and promises them great rewards in Paradise if they obey Him, they keep turning their backs on Him. They will pay a heavy price on Judgment Day.
