The sixth word of verse (2:6) is divided into 4 morphological segments. An equalization particle, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The prefixed alif indicates equality and is usually translated as "whether". The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is second person masculine singular. The verb's triliteral root is nūn dhāl rā (ن ذ ر). The suffix (التاء) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is third person masculine plural.
