وَسَكَنتُمۡ فِي مَسَٰكِنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمۡ كَيۡفَ فَعَلۡنَا بِهِمۡ وَضَرَبۡنَا لَكُمُ ٱلۡأَمۡثَالَ ٤٥

Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran:

You passed by the ruins of those ˹destroyed peoples˺ who had wronged themselves.¹ It was made clear to you how We dealt with them, and We gave you ˹many˺ examples.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali & Muhammad Muhsin Khan:

"And you dwelt in the dwellings of men who wronged themselves, and it was clear to you how We had dealt with them. And We put forth (many) parables for you."
