وَلَكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡقِصَاصِ حَيَوٰةٞ يَٰٓأُوْلِي ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ ١٧٩

Suhel Farooq Khan:

और ऐ अक़लमनदों क़सास (के क़वाएद मुक़र्रर कर देने) में तुम्हारी ज़िन्दगी है (और इसीलिए जारी किया गया है ताकि तुम ख़ूंरेज़ी से) परहेज़ करो

Maulana Azizul Haque al-Umari:

और ऐ बुद्धि वालो! तुम्हारे लिए क़िसास (बदला) लेने में जीवन है, ताकि तुम तक़वा अपनाओ।¹
