أَفَلَا يَرَوۡنَ أَلَّا يَرۡجِعُ إِلَيۡهِمۡ قَوۡلٗا وَلَا يَمۡلِكُ لَهُمۡ ضَرّٗا وَلَا نَفۡعٗا ٨٩

French Translation(Muhammad Hamidullah):

Quoi ! Ne voyaient-ils pas qu’il [le veau] ne leur rendait aucune parole et qu’il ne possédait aucun moyen de leur nuire ou de leur faire du bien ?

Rashid Maash:

Ne voyaient-ils pas que ce veau ne pouvait ni leur répondre, ni leur nuire, ni leur être utile ?
