أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ نَصِيبٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ يُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَىٰ كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ لِيَحۡكُمَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّىٰ فَرِيقٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ وَهُم مُّعۡرِضُونَ ٢٣

Suhel Farooq Khan:

(ऐ रसूल) क्या तुमने (उलमाए यहूद) के हाल पर नज़र नहीं की जिनको किताब (तौरेत) का एक हिस्सा दिया गया था (अब) उनको किताबे ख़ुदा की तरफ़ बुलाया जाता है ताकि वही (किताब) उनके झगड़ें का फैसला कर दे इस पर भी उनमें का एक गिरोह मुंह फेर लेता है और यही लोग रूगरदानी (मुँह फेरने) करने वाले हैं

Maulana Azizul Haque al-Umari:

(ऐ नबी!) क्या आपने उनका हाल¹ नहीं देखा, जिन्हें पुस्तक का एक भाग दिया गया, वे अल्लाह की पुस्तक की ओर बुलाए जाते हैं, ताकि वह उनके बीच निर्णय² करे। फिर उनमें से एक समूह मुँह फेर लेता है, इस हाल में कि वे उपेक्षा करने वाले होते हैं।
