وَجَعَلۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ أَئِمَّةٗ يَهۡدُونَ بِأَمۡرِنَا لَمَّا صَبَرُواْۖ وَكَانُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يُوقِنُونَ ٢٤

Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran:

We raised from among them leaders,¹ guiding by Our command, when they patiently endured and firmly believed in Our signs.

Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali & Muhammad Muhsin Khan:

And We made from among them (Children of Israel), leaders, giving guidance under Our Command, when they were patient and used to believe with certainty in Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.).
