وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّقُواْ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِيكُمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُونَ ٤٥

Abdul Hameed Baqavi:

“உங்களுக்கு முன்னும், உங்களுக்குப் பின்னும் (இருக்கும் இம்மை மறுமையில்) உள்ள வேதனைகளுக்கு நீங்கள் பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். (அதனால்) இறைவனின் கருணையை நீங்கள் அடையலாம்'' என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கூறப்பட்டால் (அதை அவர்கள் பொருட்படுத்துவதில்லை).

Tamil Translation - Omar Sharif - Abridged Version:

உங்களுக்கு முன்னுள்ளதையும் (முந்திய சமுதாயத்திற்கு இறக்கப்பட்ட தண்டனையையும்) உங்களுக்கு பின்னுள்ளதையும் (மறுமையின் தண்டனையையும்) நீங்கள் பயந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்! நீங்கள் கருணை காட்டப்படுவீர்கள்! என்று அவர்களுக்கு கூறப்பட்டால்... (அவர்கள் புறக்கணித்து விலகிச் சென்று விடுகின்றனர்.)
