كَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّن قَرۡنٖ فَنَادَواْ وَّلَاتَ حِينَ مَنَاصٖ ٣

French Translation(Muhammad Hamidullah):

Que de générations avant eux avons-Nous fait périr, qui ont crié, hélas, quand il n’était plus temps d’échapper ?

Rashid Maash:

Que de peuples avons-Nous anéantis avant eux qui crièrent au secours au moment où il n’était plus temps d’échapper au châtiment.
