Text Uthmani:

مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِۖ قَالُواْ ضَلُّواْ عَنَّا بَل لَّمۡ نَكُن نَّدۡعُواْ مِن قَبۡلُ شَيۡـٔٗاۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ ٧٤

French Translation(Muhammad Hamidullah):

à Allah ?" "Ils se sont écartés de nous, diront-ils. Ou plutôt, nous n’invoquions rien, auparavant." Ainsi Allah égare-t-il les mécréants.

Rashid Maash:

en dehors d’Allah ? » Ils répondront : « Elles ont disparu. Le culte que nous leur rendions n’était, en réalité, que pure vanité¹. » C’est ainsi qu’Allah laisse les impies s’égarer.
