إِنَّ ٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَ يُخَٰدِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَهُوَ خَٰدِعُهُمۡ وَإِذَا قَامُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ قَامُواْ كُسَالَىٰ يُرَآءُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ وَلَا يَذۡكُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗا ١٤٢

Suhel Farooq Khan:

बेशक मुनाफ़िक़ीन (अपने ख्याल में) ख़ुदा को फरेब देते हैं हालॉकि ख़ुदा ख़ुद उन्हें धोखा देता है और ये लोग जब नमाज़ पढ़ने खड़े होते हैं तो (बे दिल से) अलकसाए हुए खड़े होते हैं और सिर्फ लोगों को दिखाते हैं और दिल से तो ख़ुदा को कुछ यूं ही सा याद करते हैं

Maulana Azizul Haque al-Umari:

निःसंदेह मुनाफ़िक़ लोग अल्लाह को धोखा दे रहे हैं, हालाँकि उसी ने उन्हें धोखे में डाल रखा¹ है। और जब वे नमाज़ के लिए खड़े होते हैं, तो आलसी होकर खड़े होते हैं। वे लोगों के सामने दिखावा करते हैं और अल्लाह को बहुत कम ही याद करते हैं।
