وَمَا

And not

كَانَ

(it) is

لِمُؤْمِنٍ

for a believing man

وَلَا

and not

مُؤْمِنَةٍ

(for) a believing woman

إِذَا

when

قَضَى

Allah has decided

ٱللَّهُ

Allah has decided

وَرَسُولُهُۥٓ

and His Messenger

أَمْرًا

a matter

أَن

that

يَكُونَ

(there) should be

لَهُمُ

for them

ٱلْخِيَرَةُ

(any) choice

مِنْ

about

أَمْرِهِمْ

their affair

وَمَن

And whoever

يَعْصِ

disobeys

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

وَرَسُولَهُۥ

and His Messenger

فَقَدْ

certainly

ضَلَّ

he (has) strayed

ضَلَٰلًا

(into) error

مُّبِينًا

clear
