وَكَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي مَنۡ أَسۡرَفَ وَلَمۡ يُؤۡمِنۢ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِۦۚ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ ١٢٧

Fathul Majid:

এবং এভাবেই আমি প্রতিফল দেই তাকে, যে বাড়াবাড়ি করে ও তার প্রতিপালকের নিদর্শনে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে না। আখিরাতের শাস্তি‎ অবশ্যই কঠিনতর ও অধিক স্থায়ী।

আর এভাবেই আমরা প্রতিফল দেই তাকে যে বাড়াবাড়ি করে ও তার রবের নিদর্শনে ঈমান না আনে¹। আর আখেরাতের শাস্তি তো অবশ্যই কঠিনতর ও অধিক স্থায়ী।

11	أَشَدُّ	(is) more severe	কঠোরতর
12	وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ	and more lasting	ও অধিক স্থায়ী
