۞ أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ خَرَجُواْ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمۡ وَهُمۡ أُلُوفٌ حَذَرَ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مُوتُواْ ثُمَّ أَحۡيَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَشۡكُرُونَ ٢٤٣

Suhel Farooq Khan:

ताकि तुम समझो (ऐ रसूल) क्या तुम ने उन लोगों के हाल पर नज़र नही की जो मौत के डर के मारे अपने घरों से निकल भागे और वह हज़ारो आदमी थे तो ख़ुदा ने उन से फरमाया कि सब के सब मर जाओ (और वह मर गए) फिर ख़ुदा न उन्हें जिन्दा किया बेशक ख़ुदा लोगों पर बड़ा मेहरबान है मगर अक्सर लोग उसका शुक्र नहीं करते

Maulana Azizul Haque al-Umari:

(ऐ नबी!) क्या आपने उन लोगों को नहीं देखा जो मौत के भय से अपने घरों से निकले¹, जबकि वे कई हज़ार थे, तो अल्लाह ने उनसे कहा कि मर जाओ, फिर उन्हें जीवित कर दिया। निःसंदेह अल्लाह लोगों पर बड़े अनुग्रह वाला है, लेकिन अधिकांश लोग शुक्रिया अदा नहीं करते।²

21	فَضۡلٍ	(of) bounty	यक़ीनन फ़ज़ल वाला है
