إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَشۡتَرُونَ بِعَهۡدِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَيۡمَٰنِهِمۡ ثَمَنٗا قَلِيلًا أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَا خَلَٰقَ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَلَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا يَنظُرُ إِلَيۡهِمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ وَلَا يُزَكِّيهِمۡ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ ٧٧

Suhel Farooq Khan:

बेशक जो लोग अपने एहद और (क़समे) जो ख़ुदा (से किया था उसके) बदले थोड़ा (दुनयावी) मुआवेज़ा ले लेते हैं उन ही लोगों के वास्ते आख़िरत में कुछ हिस्सा नहीं और क़यामत के दिन ख़ुदा उनसे बात तक तो करेगा नहीं ओर उनकी तरफ़ नज़र (रहमत) ही करेगा और न उनको (गुनाहों की गन्दगी से) पाक करेगा और उनके लिये दर्दनाम अज़ाब है

निःसंदेह जो लोग अल्लाह के वचन¹ तथा अपनी क़समों के बदले तनिक मूल्य प्राप्त करते हैं, उनका आख़िरत (परलोक) में कोई हिस्सा नहीं। अल्लाह क़ियामत के दिन न उनसे बात करेगा और न उनकी ओर देखेगा और न उन्हें पवित्र करेगा। तथा उनके लिए दर्दनाक यातना है।
