يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَوَلَّوۡاْ قَوۡمًا غَضِبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ قَدۡ يَئِسُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ كَمَا يَئِسَ ٱلۡكُفَّارُ مِنۡ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلۡقُبُورِ ١٣

Suhel Farooq Khan:

ऐ ईमानदारों जिन लोगों पर ख़ुदा ने अपना ग़ज़ब ढाया उनसे दोस्ती न करो (क्योंकि) जिस तरह काफ़िरों को मुर्दों (के दोबारा ज़िन्दा होने) की उम्मीद नहीं उसी तरह आख़ेरत से भी ये लोग न उम्मीद हैं

Maulana Azizul Haque al-Umari:

ऐ ईमान वालो! तुम उन लोगों को मित्र न बनाओ, जिनपर अल्लाह क्रोधित हुआ है। निश्चय वे आख़िरत¹ से वैसे ही निराश हो चुके हैं, जैसे काफ़िर लोग क़ब्र वालों (के जीवित होने) से निराश हो चुके हैं।
