Text Uthmani:

قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ قَدۡ جَآءَنَا نَذِيرٞ فَكَذَّبۡنَا وَقُلۡنَا مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَيۡءٍ إِنۡ أَنتُمۡ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَٰلٖ كَبِيرٖ ٩

Rashid Maash:

« Si, reconnaîtront-ils, un prophète est bien venu nous avertir, mais nous l’avons traité d’imposteur, affirmant qu’il était profondément égaré et qu’Allah n’avait jamais rien révélé. »

French Translation(Muhammad Hamidullah):

Ils dirent: "Mais si ! un avertisseur nous était venu certes, mais nous avons crié au mensonge et avons dit : Allah n’a rien fait descendre, vous n’êtes que dans un grand égarement."¹
