Text Uthmani:

وَقَالُواْ لَوۡلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيۡهِ مَلَكٞۖ وَلَوۡ أَنزَلۡنَا مَلَكٗا لَّقُضِيَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنظَرُونَ ٨

Rashid Maash:

Ils s’étonnent : « Que n’est-il accompagné d’un ange descendu du ciel qui témoigne de l’authenticité de sa mission ?! » Si Nous avions fait descendre un ange, leur sort aurait déjà été scellé sans que nul sursis ne leur soit accordé.

French Translation(Muhammad Hamidullah):

Et ils disent : “Pourquoi n’a-t-on pas fait descendre sur lui (Mohammad) un Ange?” Si Nous avions fait descendre un Ange, cela aurait été, sûrement, affaire faite; puis, on ne leur aurait point donné de délai.¹
